Description: I decided to draw myself and it helps me know myself a little more, and a little better every time I sketch a self-portrait. It boosts my confidence and self-esteem in some way. I love doing self portraits using different art mediums.

Description: During Covid, drawing Lord Krishna gave me a sense of discipline, self-knowledge and the understanding of His teachings that revolved around the importance of Karma, mindfulness, sacrifice, humbleness and patience. ‘Happiness is a state of mind’ is a lesson of His that I could relate to during these different times.

Description: Without diversity and creativity, life would be monotonous. I drew this girl during the unfortunate unrest in our country and it reminded me of the beautiful diversity that we have around us. Everyone is unique.

Description: Sweet sugary delights often invoke reactions from the receivers. The subject of this painting screams at a lollipop, having a passionate outburst at the sweet confectionery. This portrays the emotion and sentiment that candy brings.

Description: Throughout life, we experience many things. The good and the bad, the joyous and sorrowful. Although our brains don’t remember everything, our eyes do. They have witnessed everything. Our eyes tell the story of our lives. This painting depicts that experience, fixating on the eyes and expression of the subject.

Description: This artwork represents hope, with a girl standing there and gray “smoke” (representing bad emotions) passing through her (near where the heart usually is) and turning into yellow beams (representing positive, hopeful feelings).
